Workshop Grenoble INP

To achieve the objectives of LAUDS Factories, we aim to enable the hybrid teams to collaborate effectively, enhancing co-creation and knowledge sharing. To reach this goal and better understand both the needs and motivations of hybrid teams and those of makerspaces, Grenoble INP team – in partnership with University of Lorraine – organized a remote and online workshop on the 4th of December 2024.
This workshop brought together 17 participants from the hybrid teams who actively engaged in 3 activities (using an interactive whiteboard platform) focused on the persona analysis and collaboration. The objective was to explore the characteristics and key aspects of effective collaboration while gathering insights from the daily life of the projects.
In the first activity, participants from the hybrid teams recognized themselves in the pre-identified personas. We found that some profiles were fitting in more than just one persona (designer and creative), while others suggested alternatives that better represent their role or experience (manager). This helped assess the relevance of the persona types and highlighted the variety and diversity of profiles involved in the LAUDS project.
In the second and third activities, participants were divided to three teams and encouraged to add any ideas or elements that they find important, in the assigned boxes to reflect their perception, needs and expectations of ideal collaboration. This helped us to identify their requirements and challenges regarding collaboration as well as assess their awareness of the key success factors for effective collaboration (trust, communication, coordination and time management…).
Moreover, through the active engagement of participants in these activities we evaluated the relevance and enriched our current Collaboration Capacity Maturity Model to ensure better alignment with the LAUDS context.
Apart from providing valuable insights and a rich basis for analysis, the WP1 workshop successfully connected us with the hybrid teams, fostering a deeper understanding of their work and unique perspectives. Through their continued engagement, we emphasize the importance of participatory design which forms a strong foundation for our LAUDS project.
